Appeal

Westminster Childrens Society (WCS) is appealing for funds towards the cost of sending 12 children on a five day break to Paddington Farm, in summer 2008. Many of the children attending the WCS nurseries live in cramped accommodation with little access to outdoor space and very limited knowledge of the countryside. Many have never seen a real field, a cow or a sheep.

For £250 a child will enjoy the farm experience supported by a WCS staff member. Cost for 12 children at £250 per child = £3000. Tel 0207 834 8679

Weekly/Monthly needs

Various animals live at the farm during the year and our feed costs are something that we would appreciate some financial help with.

Ongoing Costs

Tools sometimes get broken or wear out and need replacing.

Maintaining and improving the buildings is one of our biggest challenges. A new roof for the main farmhouse is a priority. We expect this to cost somewhere in the region of £15,000.

We are looking to completely update our self - catering kitchen. After many years of good service the units, utilities, flooring etc are in need of a face lift. The estimated cost is £6,000

Some of our mattresses could do with replacing. This would cost in the region of £2000
